Vision & Mission

A self-reliant India where no one is left behind.

Regardless of where they are born. Five fronts, one aim — and a set of promises we are willing to be held to.

What we are aiming at

A destination, the road that reaches it, and the method that keeps us honest on the way.

Our Vision — the destination

Bolster capacity and optimize resources to deliver on the organization's holistic development plan with a focus on equality and inclusion, accountability & transparency, and sustainable growth.

Our Mission — the road there

Collaborate with socially responsible global citizens to harness the power of collective action and make a positive impact on the lives of marginalized communities.

Our Objective — how we get there

Aahwahan Foundation was founded in 2009 by a team of like-minded individuals with a commitment to eradicate poverty. We believe in community development: the socioeconomic growth and wellbeing of people are so interconnected that it is not feasible to ignore any one of them — so we have teamed with a wide cross section of people to bring about a transformation in the rural environment.

The management of Aahwahan is deeply committed to providing the basic requirements of life to every human being, and facilitate the development of overall potential — physically, mentally, and spiritually. The holistic development of every person would contribute to the overall health of society and promote social wellbeing.

Our commitments

The promises that hold us accountable.

Our vision names the future we're working towards. These are the six things we will not trade away to get there.

  1. 1Improve the organization's accessibility and presence at all levels, enhance stakeholder engagement, strengthen relationships at grassroots, build a partnership with civil society, and advocate on the principles & goals of the organization.
  2. 2Advocate the protection of human rights, and support children in expanding their opportunities to reach their complete potential.
  3. 3Upliftment of rural communities as an integral aspect of the universal development essentials that are integral to human progress.
  4. 4Mobilize political will and resources to build the capacity of the rural economy through relevant policies, and deliver services to the rural population.
  5. 5Respond quickly to emergencies and ensure the availability of exclusive facilities for rapid response to our partners.
  6. 6Promote a non-partisan attitude and cooperation without discrimination.
  7. 7Leverage programs to promote women's empowerment and encourage their participation in economic development.
  8. 8Collaborate with partners to achieve sustainable human development objectives and the realization of the mission & vision of social progress.
